Collaborative consumption | Muneeb Mushtaq | TEDxMohawkCollege

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Muneeb gives us a view into the grassroots future of "collaborative consumption", in which the micro-entrepreneur economy is sweeping the world, creating opportunities for community relations, local networking and income at your convenience.

At the age of 17, Muneeb started his first successful company and has been a passionate entrepreneur ever since. He is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of AskforTask.com, the largest On-Demand marketplace in Canada. Muneeb is a graduate from University of Toronto where he studied Accounting and Economics. Back in 2012, Inspired by the concept of sharing economy Muneeb and his brother, Nabeel came up with the idea to connect locals in getting everyday tasks done in a safe and efficient environment. He has been interviewed by some of the world renowned publications including CNN, Forbes and CBC. Aside from these accomplishments, Muneeb inspires us to take charge of our lives and move beyond our limitations.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
